I gained proficiency in data entry, various office machines, small corporate and individual income tax returns, and standard business software (word processing, spreadsheet, Quicken, Proseries, Paperport, etc.) This experience gave me an opportunity to learn proper business etiquette, including phone skills, dress, and treatment of clients.

In December of 2007 I began training as a long haul truck driver. I took a 2 week CDL – Class A certification course in Texas and received my CDL. I then became a student driver for 3 weeks consisting 15,000 miles. Then I became a 2nd seat Driver for another 3 weeks consisting 15,000 miles. At the end of this period I was allowed to start solo driving which I did from March 2008 to May of 2009. My duties included driving from state to state picking up loads at various shippers and transporting them to the receivers. My longest trip was from California to Connecticut.
